High efficiency LED lighting for street and road lighting is no longer reliant on cable runs and the proximity of electrical infrastructure. Often it is more cost effective to use renewable energy such as solar to power lighting systems even if grid power is readily available when considering costs such as installation, electrical authority certification, min. monthly electrical service charges etc. A common application is on rural road intersections.

Our standard solar powered street and area lighting systems are sized to provide dusk to dawn full illumination for 16 hr.s per night with 5 days battery autonomy @-20C.
